“The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.”
-Audrey Hepburn-
As I meet christian women in business I see this topic of visibility as one that on the surface seems easy enough. It seems easy to make sure that your business and services are at the forefront and that you are connecting with other, networking with others. Easy enough. Consciously you know you need to be visible but somehow someway you keep playing small. It’s one thing to show up physically it’s another to show up with intention of how you want to connect, what you have to offer with clarity around the problems you solve and the offer you have to give. Visibility mindset is the foundation to how you show up and just how visible you’ll allow yourself to become with your calling.
How are you showing up for your audience? Are you showing up confident and knowing that it’s perfectly ok for you to speak your mind. Are openly sharing your why and your deeper message around your brand? Are you showing up energized knowing that you are a viable solution? Are you showing up with amazing content that speaks to your clients pain points and desires? Are you staying consistent with your content? Have you hired a team of experts to aid you in this game called visibility and not just being visible but being visible and aligned with your soul’s purpose?
I’ve seen women who are visible with ease around the work that they feel is expected of them. It’s perfectly safe to talk about the new job you just got because others will praise you for going status quo. It’s easier to share about the contract work you do with a corporate company but when it comes time to share your course and your book that you wrote…you choke. You worry about what people will say, what they will think, if you are good enough.
Do you need to be connected to something or someone bigger than yourself to feel validated?
I’ve seen women who are top sellers for the company they W-9 with but when it comes to working on a coaching program that they design their confidence disappears. When it comes to selling that program they become fearful that no one will buy. I’ve worked with women who easily secure $130,000 corporate clients but when it comes down to freelancing for their own agency or business they question themselves. They wonder if the decisions they make are right for their company are right?
It’s almost like women don’t trust their intuition, passions, talents, and abilities to be enough in their chosen industry. That’s what comes across when you play small with the god-given vision placed in our heart. That’s what comes across when you allow your visibility mindset to operate at a low level. Women want their talents, passions, and abilities attached to a company or brand bigger than themselves so they don’t have to be fully seen. So no one can find them out. They don’t want anyone to see that they are simply who they are which is absolutely more than enough. You just haven’t figured that part out yet. This is why confidence and mindset around personal visibility is so important for women of faith.
Are you comfortable holding the spotlight on your vision and purpose not backed by anyone but you and God? He is the one who has given you the vision. He is the one who has given you the skillset. What is needed to uplevel your confidence and increase your visibility mindset meter?
First you need to acknowledge:
All the traumas in your life where you were made to feel like you small
All the traumas in your life where you were made to feel invisible
The trauma that caused you to close your mouth and not speak up
The trauma that cause you to not stand up for yourself
The judgement you made of others who weren’t afraid of the spotlight
The judgment you made of your others who were loud and stood up for themselves
The lies you told yourself around why you shouldn’t be seen
The lies you told yourself around why you stay small
The vows you’ve made to continue to play small
When you heal the subconscious bitter root of your judgements and expectancies then you can walk in confidence and carry a visibility mindset that is ready for any opportunity that comes your way. Not just your own confidence but confidence in Jesus, the confidence in the God that we serve. It’s hard to fully align with the confidence and the truth that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us when that truth is tainted by our own judgments, expectancies and childhood traumas. Let’s get to the root of what’s causing you to miss out on the visibility around your calling that is meant for you!!!

Do What You Love: 3 Powerful Lessons on Leading Your Business with Purpose
This post may contain affiliate links. For full affiliate disclosure click here.
“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you.” — Maya Angelou
What is it that you love most about your business? Is it the fact that you lead with purpose? Are you wondering how to lead your business with purpose? Let’s explore what purpose means.
Purpose
This is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. Your something is “business”. We all have a reason for why our businesses exist or why we want to have a business. We all have an underlying why. We feel it and we sense it. We believe there’s something more, even if we can’t exactly put our finger on it. You started a business and as you begin to do the work on your why you may find that the work you’re currently doing isn’t the business or career for you and that’s ok. Because the goal is to be doing something that you love.
“Sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking that there’s no place to monetize what we love”
Lesson 1: Get Clear
This means that in order to begin to lead with purpose you must be really clear on your reason for beginning your business in the first place. When I first thought about going into entrepreneurship, the only reason I could think of was to make an extra $500 a month. I was a stay at home mom and I wanted to bring in some extra spending money. Money goals are amazing things to have but we really need to begin to dig deeper and underneath the surface of money. I encourage women of faith to visualize their business plans with God .
Or Learn the Hard Way
I remember trying so many different careers and direct sales companies. I never had a clear why on starting these. From insurance sales, substitute teaching, teaching overseas, retail positions to Mary Kay, Avon, Melaleuca, Tastefully Simple, and Doterra. You name it I’ve probably tried a version of it. My purpose then was jumping into the next best thing that could bring me money. What a way to so not lead in my own entrepreneurial journey. How can you begin to lead women in business if you aren’t clear on why you are creating in the first place?
Lesson 2: Your Why is a Direct Connection to Your Purpose
I went so many years spending no real time in this area. When I met my first coach that was supposed to show me how to attract my ideal clients through conversation, she showed me how important my why was. We spent over 3 months on this. Why so long? Because…Your why is connected to:
- Your content
- You programs
- Your products
- Your social media presence
- Your live videos
- Your email series
- Your sales pages
- How you interact with your clients
- How you attract your clients
Your why is everything. If we don’t live in our why’s we get disconnected from the purpose in our businesses.
Lesson 3: Value and Beliefs Hone in Your Purpose
When it comes to leading your Business with purpose it’s important that you’ve created a business that is centered around your value and beliefs. Sometimes we feel we must create cookie-cutter, stale businesses that are centered around hard cold facts and what we can see working out. As God-centered multi-passionate women of faith, your value and beliefs are the guiding force in your life. Getting clear on how that relates to your passion-based business is so essential to being in alignment with your purpose.
Conclusion
God does not operate in a cold impersonal manner and he doesn’t always show us a clear cut path. We are called to walk by faith and not sight. So if the business idea God has given you isn’t as clear cut as you would like it to be, don’t fret because you are leading with purpose my dear; the purpose that has been placed on your life as a woman of faith in the marketplace. 3 Simple Ways to Get Your Content Out With Less Distraction
Introduction
Deer in headlights and 30 mins passes by…you planned to get on social media in order to grow your business and serve your ideal clients and you realize that you are scrolling through and looking at everyone else’s issues and lives. Stop letting the scroll button steal your ability to create the impact that you desire. Like I tell my clients a blank google document is your best friend. That’s exactly where I started off writing up this blog post.
Let me share a few tips with you:
If you are using social media for your business here are some steps to help you stay focused
- Create your individual posts in a blank google document
- Revisit old coaching calls and pull themes from topics you’ve already helped your clients with
- If you haven’t gotten your first clients yet. Read inspirational books and write about your takeaways and add your personal touch and then give valuable content in that way
Here are a few more ideas
I realize that I’m always talking about something pretty deep but doesnt always make it on the platforms that I desire it to. So going through my day and thinking over the conversations that I’ve had an deciding what is most valuable to share with my audience helps too
How to get that content from the blank page to your audience
Once you’ve gathered those thoughts and you’ve written them out in a document then copy and paste in the facebook box that says “what on your mind?”. When I try to write out my thoughts for a facebook page or group or complimentary facebook directly in the box…i loose my train of thought, I might have formatting errors, I tend to get fuzzy. You can avoid all of this by first writing out your complete thoughts in a blog such as this and then pull minor thoughts and phrases from the complete thought in whole.
Don’t forget start in a blank document
Get to the work you desire to do first by working on your content in a blank document. You can always avoid even going to the social media platform by scheduling out the work in a scheduling software like hootsuite, tailwind, etc… You really don’t even have to go to your timeline. Go straight to notifications and only click on the ones where someone has commented on your posts or replied to your comment so you can engage with your audience there.
These steps above are just a few of the ways that I strategically use social media platforms like Facebook in order to stay focused on the amazing content that I know I’m called to get out into the world.

Parenting and Branding: A child that truly shows us that how we frame our stories shapes our brand
My Take on Branding for my Kids
I talked to the kids about branding today… I remind my kids that they are a walking billboard and brand for Christ. Everything they do and say is a direct reflection of the God they serve. Do I want my kids walking around on eggshells? Absolutely Not! But I want them to be aware of their actions and how they are perceived by others. With the age of social media and our children having access they are building mini brands and they should be aware of that. Everything they share, comment, and like is put out their publicly. This is so true for us as moms in business as well. If you are a mom in business I hope you are more sensitive to how your children, particularly teens are using social media today. As a mom in business I am very sensitive about how my children use social media for their own pleasure and what they actually consume and digest while on social media themselves….
Children with their own Brands
I recently got introduced to characters like cash me outside, whoavicky, and lil Tay….OMG! There brands scream seem pretty profound things to me in particular. I’ll start with the oh so famous Danielle Bergoli “Cash me outside aka Bhad Bhabie”…a young girl who is still finding herself, has some real hurts and pains that has shaped her life. She has been rejected by her dad and holds on to her mom for good reason.
Psychology behind her Brand
I see a young child that is doing what she knows best to do given her circumstances. She expresses her pain and lifestyle through her music and her brand took off by capitalizing on the persona of being tough, honest, “real”, and opinionated in the best way a 13 year old can be. She’s rough and tough and she had to be based on her perceived childhood of being rejected at 3 months old, being deprived of a relationship with her 2 younger siblings on her dad’s side, I dont even think the boys knew she existed for the better part of their lives, learning that her father remarried a day after her birthday to a woman she never really knew. As well as whatever other experiences she hasn’t shared publicly.
Family Influence on her Brand
I saw some disturbing things on an instagram live the other day that further made me question if her brand could have been shaped differently…her mom was egging her on and reminding her of details she had once told the child at some earlier point in her life. In my opinion the child tells stories that only her mother could have poured into her. The mother came on Dr. Phil looking like she really needed and desired help for her daughter and now I’m under the impression that she has poisoned that child by telling her things that no child should really have to be exposed to. Call it surgar-coating if you want to but the way you frame a story has a lot to do with how a person will respond to it. When she shares these past hurts and pains with hatred and unforgiveness in her own heart the child only models those same emotions and feelings. Why because she loves her mom and clings to the one person who has loved her and taken care of her. Her Mom should have done better…simply put.No judgment just an observation from what I saw on the instagram live feed.
Spiritual-Based Influence
What if she could have told that story about her dad leaving the mom when she was 3 months in a more empowered way. What if she shared that her dad was immature and young and really didn’t understand the damage he was causing by his actions. What if the mom had constantly shaped an environment of forgiveness and love for those who hurt us instead of fostering an environment of continued pain and hurt around the incident. Who knows she could have still used her appearance on Dr. Phil for a music career and to be a youtube influencer. But imagine empowering lyrics lifting up young girls and empowering youngs girls who have gone through what she has gone through…Instead we get this:
Bhad Bhabie got these b**** bustin’ for cash (cash)
Do the dash, try to play me, b****, I’m bustin’ yo’ a** (bustin’ yo’)
Lotta gun sounds, Rollie, bust down, know why these b**** mad
‘Cause they trash and they f**** for cash (cash)
Too official, blow the whistle, b****, I’m fly as a bird (brrr)
Take a picture, get ya’ issue, b**** will die on my word (on my word)
Walk in the bank, f*** it up, pokin’ that b*** with a shank, f*** it up (f*** it up)
I bought the lil’ b**** a bag, make it double back and clear up her tab (yah)
As adults we are responsible for how are children process information. Ok maybe not 100% responsible but we do play a huge role. I ask myself how strong is the presence of the Holy Spirit at work in this child’s life and I’m also reminded not to judge. It’s hard to see a life of love joy and peace when we the attitude she portrays as well lyrics like the ones above being spoken by a child.
A new perspective on her story shaped her brand
Her life stories and experiences has shaped her brand, her personality, how she shows up and what she puts out into the world. But could this have been different for the young Danielle Bergoli aka Bhad Bhabie?” I totally think so. Our God is a God of healing and hope. I do have hopes for Bhad Bhabie, I mean in all reality she is only 15 and her brain isn’t even full developed yet. I see the potential for her to grow into a healed person where her brand can take the shape of a serious artist who creates for the good, hope, and love of others. Sharing our stories is powerful but remember to not from what perspective you are sharing and putting it out there to millions of people. As moms of faith in business our families are called to be influencers even in this digital age. How will your brand stand for Christ and how will you influence your children to walk in your footsteps.

5 Unexpected Reasons Why Every Multi-Passionate Business Woman Should Have a Blog
Introduction
This interview has been gaining some buzz in my local town of Savannah and we plan on having a Blogging Party Workshop in November as a result of it. I love doing business intuitively. When I said yes to the interview, I never once saw myself as someone to guide others on a blog. I tend to think of all the technical pieces but when asked, I said yes.
Why did I say yes? Because it felt good. It felt good to help others around their content and the idea of blogging. It’s what I do in my own business. I write because I love writing first and secondly because it helps my ideal clients to shift their mindsets for greater success in their life and business and if they apply the spiritual principles and strategies that I teach, they experience even greater results.
As a result of my love for writing and blogging, this interview came about and now a local in-person workshop is on the books for it! I couldn’t have strategized this outcome if I wanted to. Sometimes operating from a heart and soul place with the faith and confidence that divine strategy is at play, is what propels you forward. I know it sounds woo woo but that’s what has fueled my success this far and I’m not gonna stop now!!
Now for the 5 unexpected reasons why every multi-passionate business momma of faith should have a blog:
Know Like and Trust
Your audience actually wants to see that you are a real person and not just a stale business. When I was studying my masters, I took on course on business and society and business’s role to operate as a part of society or to work outside and above society. When you choose to blog about your work, success, clients, and even a bit of personal life your increase your like, know and trust factor for your clients and can be the edge of why they choose you over a competitor. Sharing timely and relevant information allows you to communicate with your audience in way that others are missing out on.
Subject Matter Expert
You are positioning yourself as a subject matter expert in your industry. When it comes to picking a service or product, your clients want to work with the business that seems most knowledgeable and educated on the matter
Get More Visibility
Don’t you want more visibility on social media? If you are writing helpful and valuable industry specific pieces on your blog, then people are more likely to share what you are writing with others through social media. No one is talking about your package or program but they are talking about the way you shared that tip or idea that helped them to do better. People share value on social media platforms and that in turn gets you free visibility. Plus every time you write a blog post, it’s another opportunity for you to show up in the search engines and you can create repurposed content in smaller bit-sized pieces from the blog to put out on social media sites as well. It’s quite a beautiful marketing strategy!!
It’s a Free Marketing Channel
You may see yourself as a small business owner with a small marketing budget, well don’t miss out on a free marketing avenue such as blogging. No, we aren’t talking about a personal blog or saying your main source of income should be the ads in a blog. However, a business blog is a marketing channel (just like social media, direct mail, email marketing, etc.) that helps support business growth.
Get More Business
60% of businesses who blog, acquire more customers, according to a HubSpot survey. So yes, blogging done strategically for business will increase your profit. If you are interested in starting your blog or reviving your blog for your business … check out my Endless God-Inspired Content Creation Masterclass.
