4 Reasons Why You Need a Brand Strategy

When you hear the term brand strategy, what comes to mind? For most people, they instantly think about creating a branding board, jotting down some goals, or maybe even writing a little business plan.

The truth of the matter is a brand strategy is so much more. In a nutshell, this strategy is the long-term plan that will determine the successfulness of your brand – or business. It should be well-defined with the ability to be executed. A good brand strategy connects your business to meeting consumer needs, their emotions, and competitive environments.

With these aspects in mind, let’s talk about four reasons why you need a brand strategy.

A Brand Strategy Helps You Define Your Purpose & Mission

In order to have an idea of where you want your business to go, you’ll want to have an understanding of what it’s going to do. Your mission statement will help you define the impact your business will make. It can also bring clarity to your purpose.

The purpose of your business should define why it is necessary. Why do people need your service? Why would they need to buy your product? Your purpose, and mission combined, should fill holes in a given market.

A Brand Strategy Helps You Share Your Value

We are living in a day and age where brands are losing customers left and right based on their values – and rightfully so. Defining clear brand values can be one of the biggest determining factors of a customer and/or client taking advantage of what you have to offer.

When considering brand values, think about what you like or dislike about other companies. Do you want to come off as people-oriented and passion-centered, or money hungry and only out for gain? Whatever you choose, keep in mind what you’d like customers to say about your business.

A Brand Strategy Helps You Position Your Business

Any successful business owner (small or large) will tell you that positioning is everything. Many entrepreneurs find themselves quitting early on in their journey mainly due to poor positioning. If your business looks like everyone else’s, how is it truly set apart?

Understanding positioning will help your business tremendously. The first step is to make sure you are reaching your target audience/customer. The second step is to decide what level of positioning you desire: product attributes, benefits, or beliefs and values.

While all three levels have their own type of success, connecting with your ideal customer/client through beliefs and values seems to be the seal dealer. This level focuses on creating passion and excitement around your brand. While considering the position of brand, take the time to nail down your mission and vision and what your brand should be and do.

A Brand Strategy Helps You Execute Your Business Plan

A good brand strategy will work like a puzzle, all of the pieces eventually fitting together to see the big picture of your business. While every decision made may come with a learning curve, setbacks, and/or victories – having a strategy can help keep the big picture in view.

The job isn’t complete once you have your brand strategy. The next things to do are develop your brand voice and personality. Don’t worry, your brand strategy will help with this by helping you keep all aspects of your business aligned. If ever you feel like your business is not operating properly, or maybe you feel chaotic, return to your brand strategy.

If you’ve read this far and realize that you could use some help with creating your brand strategy, you’re in luck. As an intuitive business coach and inner healing practitioner, I will help you get aligned with your God-given purpose to thrive in life and business.

3 Ways a Sales Mindset Will Boost Your Business

3 Ways a Sales Mindset Will Boost Your Business

3 Ways a Sales Mindset Will Boost Your Business

This post may contain affiliate links. For full affiliate disclosure click here.

One aspect of owning a business that people are rarely prepared for is sales. Believe it or not, the moment you launch your business, you’ve taken a step into the sales department. This single avenue has the ability to make or break your business, so it’s important to develop a sales mindset early on.

If you’re not sure you have what it takes to succeed in selling, let alone understand the important role it plays – consider these 3 ways a sales mindset will boost your business (and your confidence at the same time).

What is a Sales Mindset?

Before diving into the three ways a sales mindset will boost your business, it’s important to understand what a sales mindset is. Rather than thinking of it as some abstract thing of its own, consider it being a natural part of who you are and how you operate as a business owner.

A sales mindset isn’t set aside for those corporate business. Nope. Whether you’re a small business owner or freelancer, developing an effective sales mindset is for you too. In a nutshell, a sales mindset can be wrapped up in the following characteristics:

  • Knowing your product/service and how it helps people.
  • Being helpful rather than pushy.
  • Always having your client’s best interests at heart.
  • Embracing failure as a part of success.
  • Seeing yourself worthy enough to work with your ideal customers in the first place
  • Letting go of limiting beliefs that say “who am I to charge that rate”

Now let’s look at the different ways a sales mindset will boost your business.

A Sales Mindset Will Boost Your Work Ethic

Regardless of what level of work ethic you started with in the beginning, having an effective sales mindset will boost it. A sales mindset will have you:

  • Constantly building a stronger work ethic.
  • Operating at a level of energy that is contagious.
  • Never compromising your integrity to work honestly.
  • Prepared for what comes with owning a business.

These four things alone are business-boosting characteristics that will constantly pour fuel into your work ethic tank. The results? A business that invigorates trustworthiness – something that attracts (and keeps) customers and clients to your product/services.

A Sales Mindset Will Boost Your Customer Service

As a business owner, you are pretty much the head of every department – including customer service. Interwoven within your work ethic is the ability to get the job done, get it done on time, and get it done right.

In this particular area, having a sales mindset says:

  • Even if I have 1 customer, I will take care of him/her as if I had 30.
  • I will pay attention to detail.
  • I will listen to my customer’s needs.

This will no doubt boost your business and most likely keep customers coming back… not to mention, result in past customers bringing in referrals.

A Sales Mindset Will Boost Your Goal-Setting

Goal-setting is such an integral part to boosting your business. Without goals, it can be hard to see the true direction that you would like your business to go. In retrospect, it can also be difficult to see how far your business has come.

Keeping in line with having a sales mindset, it will help you set business-boosting goals such as:

  • A thirst for self-improvement.
  • Being consistent with and in your business.
  • Reaching an income you only dreamed about.

Of course there are many more goals that could be added to this list, but the point is to see how a sales mindset works hand-in-hand with goal setting and boosting your business.

The Importance of Adopting a Sales Mindset

At the end of the day, no matter what kind of business you have, your sales mindset affects everything. For some, it could be the skills or techniques holding them back. For others, it could be their thought patterns around the initial idea of having to sell.

Giving the proper attention to developing a sales mindset to boost your business will help you be successful in whatever line of work you are doing. And, you’re guaranteed to boost your work ethic, customer service, and goal-setting skills in the process!

The Top 3 Reasons Why Emotional Branding and On-Brand Content are Imperative to Your Passion-Based Business

The Top 3 Reasons Why Emotional Branding and On-Brand Content are Imperative to Your Passion-Based Business

The Top 3 Reasons Why Emotional Branding and On-Brand Content are Imperative to Your Passion-Based Business

Emotional Branding is a fancy marketing communication word that means you are taking measures in your business to appeal directly to your ideal client’s state, needs, and aspirations. As a soul-brand alignment strategist, I know that connecting to your clients state of mind and life aspirations is imperative to the growth of your passion-based business. In my programs, I help my clients form an emotional connection with their audience by tapping into their own emotions first. We do this on the subconscious level through energy psychology protocols.

If you can’t heal your own hidden emotions you become blocked and unaware of what your ideal clients are actually feeling or experiencing right before needing to make a decision about your services. You don’t want to miss out on connecting emotionally with your ideal clients. This is an entire aspect of marketing that is essential to closing your sales. Emotions can elicit a certain feeling about a particular program, service or product. Decision making is 90% based on emotion and when you can tap into the emotions of your ideal client’s it is easier to build like, know and trust.

When people say “looking within is your first step to building a successful business” they really mean it. Usually, you’ll hear super successful people in business make this claim. In my past when I’ve heard this claim, I remember thinking, “Really?? They just gave a cliche answer because they don’t want to share the secret sauce to success. They are holding back the good stuff”. But, As I’ve grown in my own business success, I can now say that this is so true!! In order to tap into Emotional Branding and Successful On-Brand Content you really do need to search within and stop looking outward. The answers really are within you

3 reasons why healing your own hidden emotions helps you to be better at emotional branding so you can create amazing on-brand content that actually connects.

1.  When you look within, in order to heal or discover your own emotions, it gives you a better idea of why you started your business in the first place. You are able to look at pain points that prompted you to begin on your path with a fresh set of eye.

2.  Once you get clarity around your own “why” and your own story, you can begin to tell your story from a place of transformation instead of pain. Then you are able to connect better with what your client needs to feel and hear in order to know like and trust you.

3.  Once you go through this process, you become an endless content creation machine, You are able to be transparent and vulnerable with your audience without eliciting any negative emotions that block you from being visible with the content that needs to go out in order for you to attract your ideal clients.

Ever wonder why you write that post, stare at it, and then let it sit on your computer. There’s a part of you that:

  • Hasn’t gained the confidence to be vulnerable yet.
  • Doesn’t fully believe in yourself yet
  • Isn’t owning all of your gifts, talents, values, and beliefs yet
  • Doesn’t trust your process and your transformation yet
  • Is blocked and stagnant
  • Fears visibility
  • Needs to clear hidden emotions or limiting beliefs around being visible so you can have specific and unique on-brand content that speaks directly to the heart of your ideal client.

If you want to dig deeper on the emotional branding side of your business and create on-brand content to increase your visibility, book a Soulfully Aligned Business Session with me now!

How to Shift from Being the Frustrated Version of Yourself to the Abundant and Successful Version of You

Are you being the frustrated version of yourself. You know what I mean…that version of yourself that is still striving, still looking at your life like you haven’t done enough, the version that is looking for validation from others in your industry, the version of yourself that when you reach a goal you don’t even give yourself a chance to celebrate because there’s another goal to reach?

What does the frustrated version of you look like? Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Constantly reading other people’s emails about their next level success and not realizing your own
  • Looking down on yourself for not reaching some goal that you never really set for yourself
  • Setting standards in your business based on what industry says
  • Constantly comparing yourself to others and the milestones they reach in their lives and business
  • Thinking you need something more than what God already placed inside of you therefore you never take the time to look within
  • Downloading freebie after freebie even after you’ve already invested in your own private coaching

Hmmm that’s a total bummer!

Crazy thing is that the very industry that you are looking to for resources, wisdom, help, or support can be the most guilty contributor responsible for you being the most frustrated version of yourself.

You know what contributed to me being the frustrated version of myself….constantly looking to coaches to be the answer to the issues in my life and my business. What were my issues anyways?

I wanted faster results

I wanted validation that I was clear on my message

I wanted strategies to be able to reach my soul clients

I wanted the inside secret and inside scoop that they had

And none of this is inherently wrong!! The issue was….I was already clear on my message, I was already working with clients, I was already using my talents and gifts, God was already moving at the pace that was right for me, I just didn’t realize that the inside scoop or secret ingredient was within me all along.

So what’s next when you just want more of what you are already doing?? And nothing seems to be working? It’s time to go deeper!! It’s time to look within, It’s time to do the inner work or what we call mindset work. It’s time to work on self-sabotaging subconscious programs that are operating in your life!

Stay tuned for the next blog as I tell you a story that gives you more insight on this whole phenomena of being the Frustrated Version of Yourself!!

Should a Christian Ask their higher self?

Should a Christian Ask their higher self?

Should a Christian Ask their higher self?

This post may contain affiliate links. For full affiliate disclosure click here.

Gal 1:12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

According to Christianity Today there are official High Level Business Conferences where more than 500 business people come to unleash their inner power. Doesn’t that sound amazing? We all have an inner power but what do we attribute it to?

There are high level coaches and consultants who teach this process of the ideal self. Visualize the woman you see and ask her questions. Tune into her each day they say, because she is already where who you desire to be and she has all the answers.

Seriously?

Yes, seriously and I’m not judging because I used to swallow this up too. How neat is it that I can tune into myself for answers. I just need to meditate and listen and I will get the answers. I used to visualize my desires my goals everyday. And ask my “higher self” what is the fastest, quickest way to achieve this, and I’d sit and listen in for an answer. Sounds innocent enough, until I realized that this bred a form of self-reliance and seeking of truth independently of God.

There is nothing wrong with asking questions, there’s nothing wrong with tuning in. But as Christians we have to be clear WHO we are asking. The spiritual world is REAL ladies! When we start spending time asking ourselves core questions like:

What are my values?

What do I desire?

What do I really want out of my business?

And we start doing this with the guidance of a leader who doesn’t have the same core spiritual beliefs as a believer of Christ. We can open the door to spiritual adultery because we are engaging in these inquiries independently of The Holy Spirit.

Is there anything wrong with exploring your desires, your values, and visualizing what you want out of life? No there isn’t

But when these explorations become daily practices to achieve what we want in life, they become a formula to making our desires a reality, we have missed an important step, the most important piece to the puzzle and that is Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guides us and leads us. The Higher Self is a substitution for the Holy Spirit. That’s just what it is, let’s keep it real for the believers out there. Let’s not get bogged and clouded by jargon. We know the enemy is a counterfeit.

I had to take a hard look at how I was partnering with GOD in my business. Was I handing things over to Him? Was I surrendering my desires and allowing God to deposit his desires in my heart.I started looking at how I wasn’t aligned with the God I served! And that began with one simple question that my husband asked me.

What if your business is only meant to make $35,000 a year? He threw out a low number to combat with my “six figure desire”. Do you know what I said to him about my calling and my purpose to serve as a Soul-Branding Alignment Strategist for High Achieving Women of Faith…I’m almost ashamed to say….

“Then what would be the point?”  What!?

What did I mean…”what would be the point”? What would be the point of my clients:

  • experiencing massive clarity around their purpose
  • showing up and walking fully in their purpose
  • getting visible with their calling and giving honor to God at the same time
  • finding their voices and identifying their unique gifts
  • freeing expressing themselves without shame and guilt
  • balancing out family and business and getting things accomplished
  • financial breakthroughs in their business that look like 4-figure months
  • finally clearing false beliefs about God when it comes to success and money

That’s when I knew I was disconnected from God’s desires,

I was heavily focused on my own…

I was self-reliant…

I had to shift in what I desired and I had to present my desires before God so he could show me if they were aligned. I had to ask the hard questions that not many people in the industry are going to tell you to ask.

  • Are my core values lined up with God
  • Is my relationship with God my important than my desires
  • Can I release MY core values and focus on God
  • Is a relationship with God MY greatest desire over the things in this world
  • If I let go of MY desires is God enough, is my salvation enough for me to be ecstatic about this lifetime

Today, I can say if I made $35,000 a year doing this kind of work, helping women shift and bring glory to God’s name, I am simply honored to be a vessel used by God to bring about these kinds of results, I am satisfied and I am content and in awe to co-partner with Christ!

Ask yourself these questions above and if you’re heart can’t genuinely be in agreement….then I invite you to the Spirit Driven Success Circle!!! And yes I mean Holy Spirit Driven Success.
