Women do Bourdoir sessions for all sorts of reasons. But today’s client’s reason was by far one our best. My favorite makeup client of the fall was a lovely South Georgia woman. She had been through some rough patches in her life. One being remarrying the same man she divorced only to be broken and hurt again.
This boudoir shoot was not for another man, but it was for her. All for her…and I’m so grateful to have been apart of this session to be instrumental in helping her see herself in a new light. This is session was to celebrate her new life, new body, and new confidence in loving herself and seeing herself through God’s eyes!
After the first snap the photographer showed her the screen to see the image. She said, oh my God, is that me??” Shortly after I found myself running back to the makeup station to get some tissues because of the tears welling up in her eyes.
This is what I love, this is the side of the business I show up for. God loves her so much. Despite what she’s been through, despite the pain she is loved. Sometimes we don’t see ourselves the way God sees us. He sees us as beautiful through the brokenness. I think she got a glimpse today!
As she was on that bed posing for her session, I felt into that deeper reason for why I show up for women and their beauty needs. And just to be clear the image here is of one of our models. I hope you ladies know by now that 90% of our boudoir sessions are private. We do not share images without prior approval and consent. I will update with final images if the client gives us permission
